VIT University
VIT University, profoundly known as VIT, was started by Shri. G. Viswanathan, former parliamentarian currently the Chancellor, with the sole aim of providing quality education on par with universities abroad at an affordable cost to the local population. Mr. Sekar Viswanathan and Mr. G. V. Selvam the Pro-Chancellors, and Dr. D. P. Kothari, Vice Chancellor is spearheading the activities at VIT University.
VIT comprises of 6 Schools offering 15 undergraduate programmes and 28 postgraduate programmes. It also offers research programmes leading to M.S., M.Phil. And Ph.D. degrees. More than 750 full-time faculty members work at VIT.
VIT is the first Institute in India to get International Accreditation from lET (UK). It has been ranked FIRST, among private Engineering Institutions in the country by a survey conducted by ‘INDIA TODAY Magazine’.
